The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-006 is a cobalt square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers increased heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The double-end configuration provides two usable cutting ends, extending tool life between replacements. With a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) cutting diameter, a 21/64 inch (0.3281 inch) length of cut, and a 3/16 inch straight shank, this end mill is sized for tight-tolerance slot milling, profiling, and contouring on CNC mills and manual knee mills alike. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into workpieces without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
This end mill is suited for machining ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including alloy steels, stainless steels, and cast iron, where cobalt tooling is preferred over standard HSS for improved red hardness. The small 7/64 inch diameter makes it well matched to fine detail work, narrow slot cutting, and workpiece features that larger end mills cannot access. Machinists working on toolroom, die-and-mold, and general production milling applications will find this a practical fit. The bright uncoated finish allows easy visual inspection of the cutting edges.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard toolroom end mill for use in any CNC or manual milling machine with a collet or end mill holder accepting a 3/16 inch straight shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the end mill from the collet or holder. Seat the shank to the recommended engagement depth per the toolholder manufacturer specifications and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Avoid side-loading the tool beyond the rated length of cut to prevent premature breakage on this small-diameter end mill.
