The VALUE COLLECTION 930-000-291 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers rigidity and wear resistance in a compact form. The 0.045-inch cutting diameter and 0.135-inch length of cut make it suited to fine-detail slot milling, profiling, and contouring in confined geometries. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. The bright, uncoated finish allows straightforward inspection of tool condition after use. This end mill is used by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill fits applications requiring small-diameter cutting precision, such as mold detail work, micro-slot milling, and close-tolerance profiling. The 0.125-inch shank diameter is a common collet size across a wide range of machining centers and manual mills. The single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral flute configuration suits standard spindle rotation. The 1.5-inch overall length provides adequate tool-to-collet clearance for most shallow-cavity operations without sacrificing rigidity at this diameter.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stocking end mill for operations requiring a 0.125-inch shank, 0.045-inch diameter solid carbide square end mill in standard collet systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Secure the 0.125-inch shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or collet nut to the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use, as micro-diameter carbide tools are brittle and susceptible to edge chipping if handled roughly. At this diameter, avoid excessive runout in the tool holder, as even small amounts of TIR will significantly reduce tool life and dimensional accuracy.
