The VALUE COLLECTION 92415 is a 7/8-9 x 4 inch hex head cap screw machined from 18-8 stainless steel. The 7/8-9 designation indicates a 7/8 inch nominal diameter with 9 threads per inch on a Unified National Coarse (UNC) thread form. The 4 inch dimension is measured under the head. The 18-8 stainless steel construction delivers solid corrosion resistance in wet, outdoor, and mildly chemical environments without requiring a separate plated finish. The 1-5/16 inch hex drive size accepts standard SAE hex tooling. Maintenance technicians, pipefitters, plumbers, and general trade contractors use this fastener in mechanical assemblies where corrosion resistance and reliable clamp load matter.
This fastener is suited for use in HVAC equipment mounting, plumbing fixture assemblies, pump and pipe flange connections, pool and spa mechanical installations, and general structural bolting where stainless steel is specified over zinc-plated or hot-dip galvanized hardware. The UNC thread form is the most common inch-series thread standard in North American mechanical systems, making this screw broadly compatible with standard tapped holes and hex nuts in that thread family. It is sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 5 pieces.
Designed as a standard inch-series hex head cap screw for use in any application requiring a 7/8-9 UNC thread, 4 inch length under head, and 18-8 stainless steel material grade.
Installation is performed by any trade technician handling structural or mechanical bolting. Power down and de-energize any equipment before fastener work on live assemblies. Use the correct 1-5/16 inch hex wrench or socket and apply torque in accordance with your applicable engineering specification or code reference such as ASME or applicable equipment manufacturer guidelines. Do not mix stainless steel fasteners with dissimilar metals in submerged or high-conductivity environments without evaluating galvanic corrosion risk.
