The VALUE COLLECTION 92231 is an extended prong cotter pin made from 18-8 stainless steel. It measures 0.125 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches in length. The extended prong design allows the tines to be bent back securely after insertion, locking fasteners, clevis pins, and shaft assemblies in place. The uncoated 18-8 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance suitable for wet, outdoor, or chemically exposed environments. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, equipment maintenance mechanics, and general trade professionals install this type of hardware when securing low-load pin and clevis connections.
This cotter pin is used in a wide range of light-duty mechanical and trade applications including linkage assemblies, control rod connections, pump shaft retention, and valve actuator hardware. Its small diameter and extended prong geometry make it well suited for residential and light commercial equipment where positive pin retention is needed in confined spaces. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces.
Designed as a standard extended prong cotter pin for use in general mechanical assemblies requiring 0.125 inch diameter pin retention.
Installation requires needle-nose pliers to spread and fold the prongs after inserting the pin through the bore. De-energize or shut down any equipment before accessing pin and clevis connections. Cotter pins are single-use fasteners and should not be straightened and reinstalled after removal. Follow applicable equipment manufacturer guidelines for pin retention requirements.
