The VALUE COLLECTION 839-251C is a Schedule 80 CPVC pipe bushing used to reduce a 2-inch female threaded port down to a 1.5-inch male threaded connection. It features male iron pipe thread (MIPT) on one end and female iron pipe thread (FIPT) on the other, allowing a threaded reducer fitting to be made without additional adapters. CPVC construction gives the bushing strong resistance to heat and corrosive chemicals, making it well suited for hot and cold water distribution, chemical process lines, and industrial plumbing systems. Weighing 0.35 pounds, the fitting is compact and easy to handle during installation.
This bushing is used in commercial and industrial piping applications where a threaded pipe reduction is required. It is appropriate for hot water supply lines, chemical handling systems, and any Schedule 80 CPVC piping network where a 2-inch to 1.5-inch threaded transition is needed. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers, though experienced industrial maintenance technicians also work with Schedule 80 CPVC fittings regularly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 CPVC threaded piping systems requiring a 2-inch to 1.5-inch bushing reduction.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Shut off and depressurize the system before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Use CPVC-compatible thread sealant or PTFE tape on all threaded joints. Do not use standard PVC cement or primers on CPVC fittings, as they are not chemically compatible.
