The VALUE COLLECTION 837-101C is a Schedule 80 CPVC pipe bushing designed to reduce a 3/4-inch line down to a 1/2-inch connection. It features a spigot by slip end connection configuration, allowing it to integrate directly into standard CPVC piping systems. At 0.23 pounds, the fitting is lightweight and suited for permanent installation in pressure-rated plumbing assemblies. CPVC construction provides chemical resistance and elevated temperature tolerance compared to standard PVC, making it appropriate for hot and cold water distribution, industrial process lines, and chemical handling applications where the material compatibility is confirmed.
This bushing is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems wherever a 3/4-inch to 1/2-inch reduction is needed within a CPVC Schedule 80 assembly. The spigot outlet inserts into a slip-fit socket on a downstream fitting or valve, allowing the installer to solvent-cement the joint without additional adapters. Typical applications include branch reductions in hot water supply lines, recirculation systems, and industrial fluid distribution where Schedule 80 wall thickness is specified for added pressure capacity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems using standard spigot and slip solvent-cement connections in the 3/4-inch to 1/2-inch size range.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified piping contractors following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the water or fluid supply line completely before cutting into existing piping. Use CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer — do not substitute PVC cement, as it is not formulated for CPVC. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before restoring system pressure.
