The VALUE COLLECTION 836140PR is a metric split lock washer designed for use with M14 fasteners in bolted assemblies requiring vibration resistance. Manufactured from Grade 8 spring steel with a zinc plated finish, this washer delivers a Rockwell hardness of 44 to 51 HRC, providing the spring tension needed to resist loosening under dynamic or cyclical loads. The inside diameter ranges from 14.2 to 14.7 millimeters with a maximum outside diameter of 24.1 millimeters and a thickness of 3 millimeters. It conforms to DIN 127 fastener standards. Sold in a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces per package.
This split lock washer is suited for general industrial, mechanical, and structural assembly applications where metric M14 fasteners are used. Typical installations include machinery mounts, equipment frames, and fabricated assemblies subject to vibration or torque reversal. The zinc plated finish provides basic corrosion resistance for indoor and light-duty outdoor environments. This washer is installed by maintenance technicians, millwrights, pipefitters, and general mechanical assembly personnel.
Designed as a DIN 127 metric split lock washer for use with M14 screws, bolts, and threaded fasteners in standard metric bolted assemblies.
Install by placing the washer on the fastener shank before threading into the mating surface, with the cut gap facing away from the bearing surface. Tighten the fastener to the torque specification required by the assembly design. Do not reuse split lock washers that have been fully compressed flat, as spring tension will not be restored. Always de-energize or lock out equipment before servicing bolted connections on powered machinery.
