The VALUE COLLECTION 833146PR is an M10 x 1.50 x 16 mm dog point set screw manufactured from alloy steel to Grade 14.9 (45H). It features a hex drive and a black oxide finish, meeting the dimensional and performance requirements of DIN 915 and ISO 4028. The dog point tip extends beyond the thread to locate into a mating hole or groove, providing positive axial and rotational positioning without marring the shaft surface. This fastener is sized metrically with an overall length measurement of 16 mm and a 5 mm hex key drive. It is suited for industrial assembly, machine tooling, shaft collars, and mechanical positioning applications where a non-destructive, precision hold is required.
This set screw is used wherever a rigid, repeatable shaft-to-collar or shaft-to-hub connection is needed. The dog point design is common in machine tool fixtures, indexing mechanisms, conveyor systems, and precision assemblies where the point must engage a drilled recess in the mating component. It is installed by maintenance technicians, millwrights, and mechanical assemblers working with metric fastener systems. Minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per order.
Designed for use in metric fastener applications requiring DIN 915 or ISO 4028 compliant dog point set screws with M10 x 1.50 threading.
Installation is performed by millwrights, mechanical assemblers, or maintenance technicians using a 5 mm hex key or hex driver. Power down and de-energize all equipment before accessing shaft assemblies. Ensure the mating dog point recess in the shaft is properly sized and aligned before seating the screw. Do not exceed the fastener grade torque limits specified in applicable fastener standards.
