The VALUE COLLECTION 8171-012C is a 1-1/4 inch Schedule 80 CPVC tank adapter designed to connect a pipe system to a tank or vessel fitting. It features a Slip socket on one end and a Female Iron Pipe Thread (FIPT) on the other, allowing a solvent-welded pipe connection on the socket side and a threaded connection on the female end. CPVC construction offers good resistance to corrosion and higher temperature service compared to standard PVC. This fitting is a standard choice for plumbing and water treatment installations where a reliable pipe-to-tank transition is needed.
This tank adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications including water treatment systems, storage tanks, and chemical feed setups. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added strength compared to Schedule 40 fittings, making it appropriate for higher-pressure service lines. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians typically install this fitting in pressurized systems where CPVC piping terminates at a tank port.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install fitting for 1-1/4 inch CPVC Schedule 80 piping systems terminating at a tank or vessel with a female-threaded port.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before working on any pressurized line. The slip socket end is solvent-welded using a CPVC-rated cement and primer — do not use PVC-only solvent on CPVC fittings. Thread the FIPT end onto the tank fitting using an appropriate thread sealant rated for CPVC and the intended service fluid.
