The VALUE COLLECTION 80122310 is an internal snap retaining ring designed to seat in a machined groove inside a bore to secure components axially on a shaft or within a housing. Manufactured from spring steel with a phosphate finish for corrosion resistance, this ring fits a 1-7/16 inch nominal bore diameter. The free outside diameter measures 1.596 inches, ring thickness is 0.05 inches, and the groove width is 0.056 inches with a groove depth of 0.045 inches. It is installed by machinists, maintenance technicians, and mechanical assembly professionals working on shafts, housings, and rotating assemblies.
This internal snap ring is suited for light industrial and mechanical assembly applications where a reliable axial stop is required inside a bored housing. Typical use cases include pump assemblies, gear housings, motor end bells, and general power transmission components requiring a retained bearing or bushing. The phosphate finish provides a base layer of corrosion protection appropriate for indoor and light-duty service environments. Each package contains 15 rings with a minimum order quantity of 1.
Designed as a standard internal snap retaining ring for use in machined bores with a nominal diameter of 1-7/16 inches, compatible with grooves meeting the specified width and depth tolerances listed in the technical specifications.
Internal snap rings require snap ring pliers sized for internal rings to compress and seat the ring correctly into the groove. Ensure the bore groove dimensions match the specified groove width tolerance of 0.000 to 0.004 inches and groove diameter tolerance of -0.004 to 0.005 inches before installation. De-energize and lock out any equipment before servicing assemblies that contain retaining rings. Do not reuse a snap ring that has been overstressed, deformed, or removed from service, as spring tension may be compromised.
