The VALUE COLLECTION 729233 is a 2-inch analog pressure gauge designed for monitoring system pressure in plumbing, HVAC, and general fluid-handling applications. It features a center back mount with a 1/4-inch NPT threaded connection, making it a straightforward drop-in for panel installations and equipment-mounted gauge ports. The gauge reads 0 to 100 psi on a single-scale PSI dial and uses a bronze Bourdon tube as the sensing element. The case is steel with a black dial face. This is a dry (no-fill) gauge, suited for non-pulsating, non-condensing pressure monitoring where liquid fill is not required.
This gauge is appropriate for residential and light commercial installations where a compact, reliable pressure indicator is needed. Typical applications include monitoring water supply pressure, air compressor output, pump discharge pressure, and HVAC hydronic system pressure. The center back mount configuration is well suited for panel cutouts, gauge manifolds, and equipment housings where a flush-mounted or back-piped installation is preferred. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters commonly install gauges of this type during system commissioning and service work.
Designed as a standard 1/4-inch NPT center back mount replacement or new-install pressure gauge suitable for water, air, and general fluid-service applications in residential and light commercial systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and IPC or IFGC requirements. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing an existing gauge or installing this unit. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads — do not overtighten, as this can crack the gauge body or distort the connection port. Verify that system operating pressure does not exceed the 100 psi maximum range of this gauge.
