The VALUE COLLECTION 729212 is a glycerine-filled analog pressure gauge designed for general-purpose monitoring applications across HVAC, plumbing, and industrial service environments. The gauge features a 2.5-inch dial, a stainless steel case and Bourdon tube, and a lower-mount 0.25-inch NPT male connection. Glycerine fill dampens needle vibration and protects internal components from pulsation and shock, extending service life in dynamic systems. Accuracy is rated at plus or minus 2.5 percent of scale across a single PSI range of 0 to 60 psi. Licensed technicians and journeymen plumbers rely on gauges like this for system commissioning, pressure testing, and ongoing diagnostic work.
This gauge is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a compact, readable dial is needed at a single-port lower-mount location. Typical use cases include monitoring supply and return pressures on hydronic heating systems, verifying downstream pressure on compressed air lines, and checking static pressure during water system testing. The lower-mount NPT connection allows direct in-line or manifold installation without angled adapters in most standard configurations.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or addition gauge for systems using standard 0.25-inch NPT lower-mount ports with a 0 to 60 psi operating range.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified service mechanic. Isolate and depressurize the system fully before removing an existing gauge or installing this unit. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope to the NPT threads in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines — do not overtighten, as stainless steel fittings can gall. After installation, pressurize the system slowly and inspect the connection for leaks before returning the system to full service.
