The VALUE COLLECTION 724-6454 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, it handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials where standard HSS tooling wears prematurely. The 1/2-inch diameter cutter features 3 flutes with a right-hand cutting direction, right-hand flute spiral, and a high helix style that promotes chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup at the cutting edge. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. Overall length is 3 inches with a 1-inch length of cut. Weight is 0.32 pounds.

This roughing end mill is suited for use in manual knee mills, CNC machining centers, and mill-drill setups where roughing passes are needed before a finish end mill is used.
