The VALUE COLLECTION 724-6433 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this tool handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous metals with greater heat and wear resistance than standard HSS tooling. A TiN (titanium nitride) coating further extends tool life by reducing friction and increasing surface hardness. The 3-flute geometry with a high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a strong core. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry into a workpiece. At 0.375 inches in diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut and 2.5-inch overall length, it fits standard toolholders for vertical or horizontal milling machines.
This end mill is suited for roughing passes in job shop, production machining, and maintenance repair environments. It excels in applications requiring fast stock removal on alloy steels, tool steels, and similar hard materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute direction are compatible with conventional CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets, shrink-fit holders, and end mill adapters common in most shops. Machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople are the primary installers and users of this tooling.
Designed as a standard 3/8-inch single-end roughing end mill compatible with collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and end mill adapters accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Secure the shank to the full recommended insertion depth in the toolholder and verify runout before cutting. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for appropriate feeds, speeds, and depth of cut for the workpiece material.
