The VALUE COLLECTION 724-4268 is a single-end cobalt roughing and finishing end mill designed for demanding material removal operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built with three flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers aggressive stock removal while maintaining a quality finish on the final pass. The square end profile allows for sharp shoulder milling, slotting, and profiling work. With a 1-inch cutting diameter, 4-inch length of cut, and 6-1/2-inch overall length, it fits a wide range of vertical and horizontal milling setups. The integrated chipbreaker geometry reduces cutting forces and improves chip evacuation, extending tool life in heavy-duty applications.
This end mill is suited for job shops, production machining environments, and toolroom applications where a single tool must handle both roughing and finishing passes. The 1-inch shank diameter provides secure clamping in standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and Weldon-style tool holders. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction make this a conventional setup that works with standard spindle rotation on most vertical machining centers and knee mills. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators working in metal fabrication, aerospace, mold and die, and general manufacturing.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 1-inch shank single-end cobalt square end mills used in conventional and CNC milling machines accepting ER, Weldon, or straight-shank end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully de-energized and locked out before tool changes. Ensure the shank is fully seated in the holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the holder manufacturer to prevent pullout under load. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm proper seating. Follow applicable shop safety standards for rotating cutting tools and use appropriate speeds and feeds for the workpiece material.
