The VALUE COLLECTION 724-4128 is a single-end roughing finishing end mill designed for aggressive material removal followed by a finishing pass in a single tool. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials where heat resistance and edge toughness matter. The 1/2 inch diameter, 4-flute configuration with a 30-degree helix angle provides a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish. A Weldon flat shank ensures positive drive and minimal slippage in the holder. This tool is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on vertical and horizontal milling machines and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials in both job-shop and production environments. The 3 inch length of cut accommodates deeper pocketing and slotting applications where standard-length end mills fall short. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting configuration are standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups. With a 1/2 inch shank diameter matching the cutter diameter, it seats directly in standard ER, set-screw, or Weldon-style tool holders without a reducer sleeve.
Designed as a direct fit for standard 1/2 inch Weldon flat and set-screw tool holders used on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual vertical mills. No specific model compatibility was provided by the manufacturer for this part number.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists following shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or removing the end mill from the holder. Torque set screws to the tool holder specification using calibrated tooling — do not overtighten against the Weldon flat. This tool is not center-cutting; plunge milling is not recommended.
