Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers the heat and wear resistance needed for harder workpiece materials. The 1/2 inch diameter, 4-flute configuration with a bright, uncoated finish makes this tool suitable for roughing passes where chip clearance and tool rigidity are the primary concerns. With a 2 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length, it fits standard milling machine and machining center setups. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard on this end mill.

This roughing end mill is suited for use in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments where roughing steel, alloy, and similar ferrous materials at high material removal rates is required. The serrated or wave-form cutting edge geometry typical of roughing end mills reduces cutting forces and vibration compared to standard finishers, making it appropriate for heavy stock removal before a finishing pass. Installation Notes
