The VALUE COLLECTION 724-1179 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, it handles tough ferrous metals and hardened workpiece materials where standard HSS tooling falls short. The cutter measures 0.75 inches in diameter with a 1.25-inch length of cut and a 3.5-inch overall length. Four right-hand flutes with a right-hand cutting direction provide a stable, efficient chip load during roughing passes. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole.

This end mill is suited for manual mills, CNC machining centers, and knee mills operating in job shops, maintenance environments, and production settings. It is well-matched to cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where high heat resistance and edge retention are required. Installation Notes
