The VALUE COLLECTION 724-1113 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it is built to handle tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1/2 inch cutting diameter and 4-flute geometry deliver fast stock removal while the TiN coating extends tool life by reducing friction and heat buildup. At 1 inch length of cut and 3 inches overall length, this end mill fits a wide range of standard milling setups. Machinists and toolroom operators working on CNC and manual milling equipment are the primary users.
This roughing end mill is suited for general-purpose milling in job shops, production environments, and toolroom applications. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle configurations. Center-cutting capability allows plunge cutting in addition to peripheral and slot milling. With a 1/2 inch shank diameter, it seats directly in standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style tool holders without adapters. It is appropriate for use on carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and similar materials where aggressive roughing passes are required.
Designed as a standard 1/2 inch shank roughing end mill compatible with collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style holders used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the tool holder and torque retention screws or collet nuts according to the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
