Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool delivers the heat resistance and edge retention needed for harder workpiece materials. The 9/32-inch (0.2813 inch) cutting diameter pairs with a 3/8-inch shank and a 3/4-inch length of cut, making it well-suited for slotting and peripheral roughing passes where chip load and tool durability are priorities. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this style of end mill when surface finish is secondary to stock removal rate. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups.
