The VALUE COLLECTION 723-6829 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a TiN coating, it handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials with reduced tool wear. The 1.25-inch cutting diameter and 6-flute geometry produce a serrated cutting action that breaks chips into smaller segments, lowering cutting forces and heat buildup. The 0.75-inch shank diameter provides secure clamping in standard end mill holders. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on vertical or horizontal milling machines and CNC machining centers.
This roughing end mill is suited for roughing passes on steel, stainless steel, and other hard alloys in both job shop and production environments. The 2-inch length of cut and 4.25-inch overall length make it appropriate for moderate-depth pocketing and slotting operations where chip evacuation and rigidity are critical. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle-direction setups. The non-center-cutting design means it requires a pre-drilled entry hole or a ramping entry path and is not intended for plunge cutting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement-grade roughing end mill for use in standard end mill holders and collet chucks accepting a 0.75-inch shank diameter on vertical mills, horizontal mills, and CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Power down and lock out the spindle before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the holder and torque the set screw or collet nut to the machine manufacturer's specification. Because this is a non-center-cutting tool, always use a pre-drilled pilot hole or a programmed ramp entry — never plunge directly into solid material.
