The VALUE COLLECTION 723-6757 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, this tool handles interrupted cuts and tough workpiece materials with reduced chatter and heat buildup. The roughing profile along the cutting edge breaks chips into smaller segments, lowering cutting forces and allowing faster feed rates compared to standard end mills. With a 0.625 inch diameter, 4-flute geometry, and a 3.125 inch length of cut, it suits deep slotting and profiling passes in production and job-shop environments alike. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous metals, alloy steels, and stainless steel in both manual and CNC machining centers. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional vertical and horizontal milling setups. The 0.625 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders commonly found in production shops. Non-centercutting geometry means this tool is intended for peripheral and slot milling entries where a pre-drilled start hole or ramp entry is used rather than direct plunge cutting.
Designed as a standard-shank roughing end mill compatible with 0.625 inch collet chucks, ER toolholders, and side-lock end mill holders used in vertical and horizontal CNC or manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle at a full stop and lockout-tagout procedures in place. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and tighten to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces surface finish quality. Because this tool is non-centercutting, do not use it for direct plunge entry into solid material.
