The VALUE COLLECTION 723-6751 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, this tool handles interrupted cuts, hard materials, and heavy chip loads that standard HSS end mills struggle with. The mill measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 2.5-inch length of cut and a 4.625-inch overall length. Four right-hand flutes with a right-hand cutting direction provide efficient chip evacuation during roughing passes. This tool is used by machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC setup techs working on mills, knee mills, and machining centers.
This roughing end mill is suited for ferrous and harder non-ferrous materials in both job shop and production environments. The 0.625-inch shank diameter matches the cutter diameter, making it compatible with standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and milling machine spindles sized for that bore. It is appropriate for roughing passes where surface finish is secondary to material removal rate. The TiN coating extends tool life in abrasive materials and reduces built-up edge. This is a single-end tool, so once the cutting end is worn, the tool is replaced rather than flipped.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and milling machine spindles with a 0.625-inch bore. Suitable for knee mills, vertical machining centers, and horizontal mills configured for right-hand cutting tools.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the machine spindle and all power sources are fully locked out before changing tooling, per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended engagement depth before torquing set screws or clamping the collet. Because this is a non-centercutting end mill, do not use it for direct plunge entry — begin cuts from the workpiece edge or a pre-machined pocket.
