The VALUE COLLECTION 723-6750 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a TiN coating, it handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials with extended tool life. The 0.625-inch diameter cutter features 4 flutes and a 2.125-inch length of cut, making it well suited for hogging operations where feed rates and chip loads are the priority. The right-hand cutting, right-hand flute configuration is the standard geometry for conventional vertical and horizontal milling setups. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and tool-room professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is applied in roughing passes where high stock removal rates are needed before a finishing pass is run. The coarse-geometry fluting on a roughing end mill breaks chips into smaller segments, reducing cutting forces and heat compared to a standard end mill at equivalent depths of cut. It is appropriate for use on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills equipped with standard R8, CAT, or ER collet toolholding. The 0.625-inch shank diameter matches the cutter diameter, fitting directly into commonly available collet sizes without a reducer.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit roughing end mill for standard 0.625-inch collet toolholding systems on vertical and horizontal milling machines.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the drawbar or collet nut to the machine manufacturer's specification. Because this end mill is non-centercutting, do not attempt direct plunge entry into solid material — always start from a pre-drilled hole or ramp entry.
