Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a TiN coating, it handles harder workpiece materials where standard HSS tooling falls short. The cutter measures 3/8 inch in diameter with a 7/16 inch length of cut and a 2-3/16 inch overall length. Four right-hand flutes and a right-hand cutting direction deliver efficient chip evacuation during roughing passes. This tool is suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals running manual mills or CNC machining centers.

This end mill is appropriate for roughing operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in job shop, production machining, and maintenance environments. The cobalt M42 substrate offers improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard M2 HSS, making it a practical choice for cutting alloy steels, stainless, and other harder materials at moderate cutting speeds. It is a non-centercutting design, so plunge cutting is not recommended.
