The VALUE COLLECTION 723-6707 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Ground from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, this tool handles tough ferrous metals and hard alloys where standard HSS tooling wears prematurely. The 1/4-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 3/8-inch shank, giving it rigidity in standard end mill holders. Three flutes provide a balance between chip evacuation and cutting edge strength suited to roughing passes. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups.

This end mill is suited for roughing operations on knee mills, CNC machining centers, and milling fixtures in job shop, tool room, and light production environments. The 1-3/8-inch length of cut allows full-depth passes on workpieces within that envelope. The non-centercutting geometry means this tool requires a pre-drilled hole or ramp entry before plunging; it is not designed for direct vertical plunge cuts.
