The Value Collection 723-6552 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to machine precise convex radii on workpiece edges. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers the hardness and heat resistance needed for interrupted cuts and harder alloys. The cutter measures 1.9375 inches in diameter with a 19/32-inch radius, a 3/4-inch shank diameter, and a 4-inch overall length. Four right-hand flutes in a right-hand cutting direction provide efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. The bright, uncoated surface suits general-purpose edge rounding on a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This tool is installed by machinists and toolroom operators on vertical milling machines and machining centers.
This corner rounding end mill is suited for production and toolroom applications requiring consistent radius profiles on part edges. Typical uses include breaking sharp corners on mold components, fixture plates, die blocks, and structural machine parts. The cobalt M42 substrate makes it a practical choice when cutting medium-to-hard steels, stainless, and cast iron where standard HSS tools lose edge life prematurely. The single-end configuration is standard for this cutter class and allows direct shank mounting into a collet or end mill holder.
Designed for use in standard vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers accepting a 3/4-inch straight shank end mill holder or collet chuck.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the 3/4-inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or retention system per the machine tool manufacturer specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or lock-out state before mounting or removing the cutter. Inspect the shank and flutes for chips or damage before each use, and run at speeds and feeds appropriate for the workpiece material and cutter diameter.
