The VALUE COLLECTION 723-6546 is a single-end corner rounding end mill designed to produce consistent radius profiles on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this tool offers increased heat and wear resistance compared to standard M2 HSS, making it well suited for harder alloys and interrupted cuts. It carries a 9/16 inch radius and a 1.9375 inch mill diameter across four right-hand flutes. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the tool ready to run as-delivered without additional prep. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this type of end mill in vertical machining centers and manual knee mills where edge-break and radius milling operations are required.
This corner rounding end mill is used in production and job-shop environments for radiusing part edges, creating blended corner transitions, and reducing stress concentrations on machined components. Typical applications include die work, fixture fabrication, and general-purpose milling of steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute geometry are standard for conventional milling machine spindles. A 3/4 inch shank diameter fits standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and milling machine spindles sized for that bore.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for corner rounding end mills requiring a 3/4 inch shank diameter and 9/16 inch radius in standard end mill holders and collet chucks on vertical milling machines and machining centers.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom professional. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder or collet before tightening to the torque specification listed in the machine tool or holder manufacturer documentation. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material prior to cutting.
