The VALUE COLLECTION 723-5775 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Constructed from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this end mill delivers heat resistance and edge retention when cutting ferrous metals, stainless steel, and other tough materials. It features a 3/4 inch diameter with a matching 3/4 inch shank, 4 flutes, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 5-1/4 inch overall length. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating is not required or where regrinding is anticipated. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill on manual mills and CNC machining centers for roughing passes before finish milling.
This roughing end mill is suited for use on vertical and horizontal milling machines in job shop, production, and maintenance machining environments. It is appropriate for slotting, peripheral roughing, and hogging cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous stock. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle-forward operation. It is a non-centercutting design, so plunge cuts should be avoided without a pre-drilled entry point. No extended reach or variable helix geometry is included, making this a straightforward roughing tool for general-purpose shop use.
Designed as a general-purpose roughing end mill compatible with standard 3/4 inch collets, end mill holders, and milling chucks used on manual and CNC vertical milling machines.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians following standard toolholder torque and runout procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing end mills. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the recommended engagement depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut. Because this is a non-centercutting tool, always use a pre-drilled hole or ramp entry when starting a slot; never plunge directly into solid material.
