Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it delivers the heat and wear resistance needed for tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 0.5 inch diameter tool features 4 right-hand flutes with a coarse pitch designed to break up chips and reduce cutting forces. The 1.25 inch length of cut and 3.25 inch overall length suit standard vertical and horizontal milling machine setups. This roughing end mill is suited for roughing passes on ferrous metals, stainless steels, and high-temperature alloys where a standard HSS end mill would overheat or wear prematurely.
