The VALUE COLLECTION 723-1632 is a double-end square end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this tool delivers hardness retention and wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. The 3/64 inch (0.0469 inch) cutting diameter and 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch) length of cut make it well suited for fine slotting, profiling, and light pocketing in tight geometries. With a 30-degree helix angle and two spiral flutes, it promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on manual mills, CNC machining centers, and knee mills.
This end mill is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends per tool, extending service life. Its bright uncoated finish makes it suitable for applications where coating compatibility or regrinding is a consideration. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders used in most light-duty and precision machining setups. Typical applications include small-diameter slotting, engraving prep work, and detail profiling on ferrous workpieces.
Compatible with workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys (ISO material codes P, M, K, and S). Fits any standard 3/16 inch collet or end mill holder. Designed as a regular-length fractional-inch end mill for general-purpose machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the shank fully into a matched collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before tightening. Confirm spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cutting geometry of this tool before operation. Inspect both cutting ends for edge integrity before use, and follow shop safety protocols including eye protection and guarding whenever the spindle is engaged.
