The VALUE COLLECTION 723-1063 is a cobalt square end mill designed for metal removal in ferrous and high-temperature alloy applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers the heat and wear resistance needed when cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temp alloys. The 2-flute geometry with a 30-degree spiral helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 0.75 inches in diameter with a 1.3125-inch length of cut, this is a standard-reach, single-end tool suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations run on manual mills and CNC machining centers alike.
This end mill is intended for use on ferrous metals including carbon steel, stainless steel, and cast iron, as well as high-temperature alloys. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding its range of practical operations. The bright uncoated finish keeps the tool ready to run as delivered without additional prep. It is a regular-length tool in the VCCC-C-2 series, appropriate for general-purpose shop work where a cobalt tool is called for over carbide due to intermittent cuts or interrupted conditions.
Designed for use in standard 1/2-inch collets or end mill holders on vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tool-and-die professional using a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.5-inch shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool to minimize premature wear. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; external coolant or cutting fluid should be applied at the cutting zone when machining stainless or high-temp alloys.
