The VALUE COLLECTION 722-4060 is a double-end, square-profile high speed steel end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 5/8-inch cutting diameter, a 1-3/8-inch length of cut, and a 5-inch overall length. The tool carries a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge. With four spiral flutes ground at a 30-degree helix angle, it provides good chip evacuation and smooth finishes in slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling applications. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this end mill in standard milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for job shops, production environments, and maintenance machining where a reliable general-purpose cutter is required. The double-end design allows the operator to index to the second cutting end when the first dulls, extending tool life between purchases. The 5/8-inch straight shank fits standard ER collets and end mill holders commonly found in both manual and CNC setups. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional and climb milling on vertical spindle machines.
Designed as a standard fractional-inch end mill for use in any vertical milling machine, CNC machining center, or manual knee mill equipped with a 5/8-inch collet or end mill holder. No specific model compatibility data was provided in the product input.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from its holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet nut or set screw is torqued to the holder manufacturer's specification before running the spindle. This tool is not center-cutting and should not be used for direct plunge cuts — use a ramping or helical entry path when required.
