The Value Collection 722-3095 is a single-end square end mill designed for milling flat surfaces, slots, and shoulders in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 15/16-inch cutting diameter and a 4-flute high speed steel (HSS) body in M2 material grade, offering a reliable balance of toughness and wear resistance. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in moderate-duty cutting applications. The spiral flute geometry runs at a 30-degree helix angle with right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation, promoting smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and toolroom professionals in manual mills, knee mills, and CNC machining centers.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose milling operations in job shops, maintenance departments, and production environments. The regular-length configuration and 7/8-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard end mill holders and collet chucks used in fractional-inch tooling setups. The 1-7/8-inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth slotting and profiling passes. It is not center-cutting, so plunge milling is not recommended without a pre-drilled entry hole. This tool is appropriate for side milling, peripheral finishing, and shoulder operations on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
Designed as a standard fractional-inch square end mill for use in end mill holders, collet chucks, and weldon-style tool holders accepting a 7/8-inch shank diameter, suitable for manual and CNC milling machines in conventional shop environments.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle powered down and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the set screw or collet is torqued to the tool holder manufacturer specification before operation. Because this end mill is not center-cutting, do not attempt direct plunge entry into solid material. Inspect the TiN coating and cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use.
