The VALUE COLLECTION 722-3011 is a single-end, 4-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in machine shops and manufacturing environments. Built from M2 high speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this tool delivers improved wear resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated HSS cutters. The 3/16 inch cutting diameter and 1/2 inch length of cut make it well suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and light profiling work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry are standard on this tool. It is installed and run by machinists on vertical and horizontal milling machines and CNC machining centers.
This end mill is a regular-length fractional-inch series tool from the VC-HSS-4-TN series. It is appropriate for use in job shops, toolrooms, and production facilities where a cost-effective HSS end mill is required for small-diameter slot and contour work. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders sized for that shank. Note that this tool is not center-cutting and is not designed for direct plunge entry into solid material.
Designed for use in standard collet chucks, end mill holders, or Weldon-style holders accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter on vertical mills, knee mills, and CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the power source locked out before changing tooling. The shank should be fully seated in the collet or holder to the minimum engagement depth recommended by the holder manufacturer, and the collet nut or set screw should be torqued using the holder manufacturer's specifications. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting data for the workpiece material before beginning a cut.
