The VALUE COLLECTION 722-2072 is a double-end, two-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metalworking environments. Built from M2 high speed steel and finished with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and longer tool life compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The mill measures 3/4 inches in diameter with a matching 3/4-inch shank, a 1-5/16-inch length of cut, and a 5-inch overall length. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and toolroom professionals working on manual or CNC milling machines.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, extending the value of each tool. Its center-cutting capability allows plunge entry directly into workpiece material. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional milling equipment. It is appropriate for both job shop and production environments handling ferrous and heat-resistant materials.
Designed for use in standard 3/4-inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, or Weldon-style holders on vertical and horizontal milling machines. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom practices. Ensure the milling machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the set screw or collet nut per the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, and confirm spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cutting geometry of this tool.
