The VALUE COLLECTION 722-2064 is a double-end, square-profile end mill designed for milling, slotting, and peripheral cutting in metal-cutting applications. Built from M2 high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and surface hardness compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The cutter measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 1.125-inch length of cut and a 4.5-inch overall length. A 30-degree spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. This end mill is sized on a standard 0.625-inch shank for use in conventional milling chucks and collet holders.
This end mill is suited for shops and field machinists working in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. The double-end design extends tool life by providing a second usable cutting end when the first end wears. It fits standard knee mills, CNC verticals, and manual milling machines commonly found in maintenance and production environments. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation make it compatible with standard spindle rotation. Typical users include machinist trades, toolroom operators, and maintenance mechanics performing metal removal, profiling, or slotting tasks.
Designed for use in standard 0.625-inch collet chucks and milling holders on knee mills and vertical CNC machining centers. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys (ISO material codes P, M, K, S).
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the machine or toolholder specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and verify feed and speed parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
