The VALUE COLLECTION 722-2060 is a double-end square end mill designed for precision material removal in ferrous and high-temperature alloy machining applications. Built from M2 high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers solid wear resistance and heat tolerance across a wide range of shop conditions. The 9/16-inch cutting diameter, 2-flute spiral geometry, and 30-degree helix angle work together to promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into workpiece material without pre-drilling. This tool is sized for standard vertical machining centers and manual knee mills used in professional machine shops and toolrooms.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys in both roughing and general-purpose finishing passes. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing a second usable cutting end, reducing downtime between tool changes. With a 5/8-inch shank diameter and 4.5-inch overall length, it fits standard collet and end mill holder setups found on most manual and CNC knee mills. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation match conventional spindle rotation on the majority of vertical milling machines in production and maintenance environments.
Designed for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Compatible with any vertical milling machine or CNC machining center equipped with a 5/8-inch collet, ER collet chuck, or end mill holder accepting a 5/8-inch shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with milling machine operation and tool holding systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Verify collet size matches the 5/8-inch shank before tightening, and confirm tool runout with an indicator before beginning cuts. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for HSS tooling in the specific workpiece material being machined.
