The VALUE COLLECTION 722-2039 is a double-end, two-flute square end mill designed for metal removal in ferrous and high-temperature alloy applications. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a TiN (titanium nitride) coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and longer tool life compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The 3/8 inch diameter matches a 3/8 inch shank, keeping setup straightforward on standard milling machines and CNC machining centers. With a 9/16 inch length of cut and a 30-degree helix angle, it produces clean, efficient chip evacuation on a wide range of workpiece materials. Machinists and toolroom professionals are the primary installers and operators of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, extending overall value per tool. The 3-1/16 inch overall length fits standard collet and end mill holders found on knee mills, bed mills, and CNC vertical machining centers. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry where required. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional milling setups.
Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys; fits standard 3/8 inch collets and end mill holders on manual and CNC vertical milling machines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or set screw according to the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, and verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
