The VALUE COLLECTION 722-1051 is a single-end square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from M2 high speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this tool delivers solid wear resistance and heat tolerance across a range of cutting applications. It features a 5/8-inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/8-inch length of cut, and a 30-degree spiral helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation. The centercutting geometry allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece, adding versatility for slotting and pocket milling. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals in both manual and CNC milling machines. The 1/2-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and milling machine spindles commonly found in job shops and manufacturing facilities. The regular-length body and 3-1/8-inch overall length make it appropriate for standard-reach milling work where extended reach tooling is not required. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are the conventional configuration for the majority of vertical milling operations.
Designed for use in standard vertical or horizontal milling machines accepting a 1/2-inch shank diameter. Compatible with ER collet chucks, shell mill holders, and side-lock end mill holders configured for 1/2-inch tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's spindle and toolholder specifications. Ensure the milling machine is fully powered down and the spindle is locked before seating or removing the end mill from the holder. Verify shank engagement depth meets the toolholder manufacturer's minimum grip requirement before operation. Always inspect the cutting edges and TiN coating for chips or wear before each use and replace the tool if edge integrity is compromised.
