The VALUE COLLECTION 720-9250 is a single-end, two-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it measures 25 mm (0.9843 inches) in cutting diameter with a 1-5/8 inch (1.625 inches) length of cut and a 1 inch shank diameter. The 30-degree right-hand spiral helix geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during cuts. The centercutting design allows both peripheral and plunge milling. Machinists and tool and die professionals typically select this end mill for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations across a range of common workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for use on knee mills, CNC machining centers, and manual milling machines where a 1 inch straight shank is the standard tool holding interface. It performs on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. The 4-1/8 inch overall length provides adequate reach for standard-depth milling applications without compromising rigidity. The bright, uncoated surface makes it straightforward to inspect for wear and regrind when needed.
Designed for use in standard 1 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, or Weldon-style holders on manual and CNC milling machines. Compatible with primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous alloys (ISO material codes P, M, K, N).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tool holding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque set screws per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout accelerates wear and reduces surface finish quality.
