The VALUE COLLECTION 720-9100 is a single-end square end mill designed for material removal in milling operations across a range of metalworking applications. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this end mill features a 10 mm (0.3937 inches) cutting diameter, a 13/16 inch (0.8125 inches) length of cut, and a 2-flute spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it suitable for conventional milling setups on standard vertical and horizontal milling machines. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this type of cutting tool in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is center-cutting, allowing it to plunge directly into workpiece material as well as perform peripheral and slot milling. It carries a 3/8 inch (0.3750 inches) shank diameter and a 2.5 inch overall length, fitting standard collet chucks and end mill holders sized for that shank. The Series VCCC-HSS-2 designation identifies it within VALUE COLLECTION's two-flute HSS line. It is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous materials, covering the P, M, K, and N workpiece material categories.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders and collet chucks accepting a 3/8 inch shank. Rated for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully powered down and locked out per applicable shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully within the collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before tightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator after mounting to minimize premature tool wear. Feed rate, spindle speed, and depth of cut should be selected based on workpiece material and machine rigidity — consult published HSS end mill speeds and feeds charts for M2 tooling.
