The VALUE COLLECTION 720-4330 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metal, wood, and plastics. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers consistent cutting performance across a range of materials. The tool measures 0.1563 inches (5/32 inch) in cutting diameter with a 0.4375-inch (7/16 inch) length of cut and a 3/16-inch shank diameter, giving it a compact profile suited to close-tolerance work. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. The double-end design extends usable tool life before replacement is required. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians are the primary installers of this type of cutting tool.
This end mill is suited for use on manual knee mills, CNC machining centers, and benchtop milling machines in job shop, maintenance, and production environments. Its center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry into a workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole, adding versatility for pocket milling and slotting operations. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is compatible with standard spindle rotation on the vast majority of vertical milling machine setups. The regular-length body keeps deflection low when working in shallow-depth applications on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard cutting tool for use in vertical milling machines and machining centers accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician using an appropriate collet chuck or end mill holder sized for the 3/16-inch shank diameter. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet or set screw is torqued per the machine manufacturer's specification before beginning a cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as damaged edges on high speed steel tooling can cause workpiece damage or tool breakage.
