The VALUE COLLECTION 720-4314 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill manufactured from M2 high speed steel. It carries an 11/64-inch (0.1719 inches) cutting diameter and a 9/32-inch (0.2813 inches) length of cut, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in stub-length applications. The bright, uncoated finish is the standard for general-purpose HSS tooling. Center-cutting geometry allows the tool to plunge directly into a workpiece. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard configurations compatible with conventional milling machine spindles. The double-end design doubles usable tool life before the cutter is retired.
This end mill is intended for use in manual knee mills, CNC machining centers, and benchtop milling equipment where a small-diameter, short-reach cutter is required. The stub length format reduces deflection in tight spaces and shallow-pocket operations. It is appropriate for cutting mild steels, aluminum, brass, and plastics. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians working in job shops or production environments will find this size useful for detail work and small-feature machining where a standard-length tool would be unnecessarily long.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stock cutter for milling operations requiring an 11/64-inch diameter, four-flute square end mill with a 3/16-inch shank diameter. Compatible with any collet, end mill holder, or milling chuck sized for a 3/16-inch straight shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout tolerance. Secure the shank fully within the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Do not exceed the cutter manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material being cut.
