The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3615 is a single-end square end mill ground from M2 high speed steel and finished bright/uncoated. It is designed for general-purpose milling operations including slotting, profiling, and peripheral cutting in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 1-inch mill diameter, a 6-inch length of cut, and an 8.5-inch overall length, this extra-long tool reaches deep pockets and features that shorter end mills cannot access. The 30-degree right-hand spiral with four flutes balances chip evacuation and surface finish across moderate feed rates. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops, maintenance environments, and production cells are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for vertical and horizontal milling machine applications where extended reach into deep cavities, molds, or structural pockets is required. The 1-inch shank diameter seats securely in standard R8, CAT, or side-lock holders sized for 1-inch straight shanks. The extra-long classification makes it a common choice for aerospace fixturing, die work, and heavy-equipment component machining where standard-length end mills fall short. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with conventional CNC and manual mill setups. Note that this tool is not center-cutting and is not suitable for plunge entry.
Designed as a standard-geometry replacement or first-fit square end mill for milling machines accepting a 1-inch straight shank. Compatible with R8, CAT, BT, and side-lock tool holders sized for 1-inch shanks. Verify spindle taper and holder bore before installation.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the holder and torque the retention hardware to the machine or holder manufacturer specification using calibrated tooling. Because this tool is extra-long, reduce speeds and feeds relative to standard-length end mills to minimize deflection and chatter, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting.
