The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3425 is a single-end square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metal, wood, and plastic. Built from high speed steel (HSS), this tool delivers reliable cutting performance across a wide range of materials and machining conditions. The 4-flute configuration provides a good balance between chip clearance and surface finish quality, making it well suited for finishing passes and moderate material removal. With a 0.375 inch shank diameter and right-hand cutting direction, it fits standard collet and end mill holders found on most vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers. Machinists and toolroom professionals are the primary users of this end mill.
This square end mill is used in job shop, production, and maintenance machining environments. It performs well in face milling, slotting, profiling, and contouring operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The single-end design means the cutting geometry is located at one end only, which is standard for general-purpose tooling. Its right-hand helix and right-hand cut orientation match the conventional spindle rotation on most milling equipment. It is a practical replacement or backup tool for shops that require consistent HSS end mill performance without specialized coatings or geometry.
Designed as a standard replacement or stock end mill for vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers that accept a 3/8 inch shank with right-hand rotation and right-hand helix.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following safe tooling practices. Ensure the milling machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the collet or holder. Seat the shank fully into the collet and torque the drawbar or set screw according to the machine manufacturer's specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and never exceed the recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
