The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3211 is a 4-flute, single-end square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers reliable cutting performance across a range of conventional milling tasks. The tool features a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 0.5 inch straight shank. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into workpiece material. Machinists and toolroom operators install this end mill in manual knee mills, CNC machining centers, and drill press setups.
This end mill suits light-to-medium stock removal in job shop, maintenance, and production environments. Its regular-length profile and fractional inch sizing make it a standard choice for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is compatible with conventional spindle rotation on standard milling machines. No coolant-through capability is present, so flood or mist coolant applied externally is the standard cooling method for steel cutting applications.
Designed as a standard fractional-inch single-end square end mill for use in milling machines, CNC machining centers, and compatible rotary tool holders accepting a 0.5 inch straight shank.
A licensed machinist or qualified toolroom operator should install this end mill in a collet chuck or end mill holder rated for the shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after seating the shank to the recommended engagement depth. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed selection based on workpiece material.
