The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3133 is a single-end, six-flute square end mill designed for material removal in milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers reliable cutting performance in general-purpose machining environments. The cutter measures 1-7/16 inches (1.4375 inches) in diameter with a 2-inch length of cut, a 3/4-inch shank diameter, and a 4-1/2-inch overall length. The 30-degree helix angle and right-hand cutting direction suit conventional milling setups on manual or CNC knee mills and vertical machining centers. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this style of end mill for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling work.
This end mill is suited for use in job shops, maintenance machining, and production environments where a standard fractional-inch, regular-length end mill is specified. The six-flute geometry provides more cutting edges per pass compared to two- or four-flute versions, making it appropriate for finishing passes and harder materials where chip load per tooth is reduced. The bright finish indicates no additional coating treatment, keeping the tool suited for general steel and cast iron applications at moderate speeds and feeds.
Designed as a general-purpose fractional-inch square end mill compatible with standard ER, R8, CAT, and similar collet or toolholder systems accepting a 3/4-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Secure the shank a minimum of 3 times the shank diameter into the collet or holder to minimize runout and chatter. Because this end mill is non-centercutting, do not use it for direct plunge cuts into solid material — ramp or helical entry strategies are required for full-depth pocket starts.
