The VALUE COLLECTION 720-3087 is a single-end square end mill manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish. It features a 7/8 inch (0.8750 inch) cutting diameter and a 1-7/8 inch (1.8750 inch) length of cut, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations on a wide range of workpiece materials. The 4-flute geometry and 30-degree right-hand spiral helix provide a balance of cutting efficiency and surface finish quality. The shank diameter matches the cutting diameter at 7/8 inch, and the overall length is 4-1/8 inches. This is a regular-length tool intended for standard milling applications in production and maintenance machining environments.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills. It is appropriate for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and similar materials where an uncoated HSS tool is a practical choice. The right-hand cutting direction suits standard spindle rotation. This tool does not include a chipbreaker, variable helix, variable index, coolant-through capability, or extended-reach geometry, which keeps it straightforward for general-purpose material removal tasks performed by machinists and tool-and-die technicians.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stocking end mill for standard 7/8 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style side-lock holders used in conventional and CNC milling setups.
Install and remove end mills only with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine-specific lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated in the holder to the recommended insertion depth before torquing set screws or drawbars. Inspect the shank and flutes for chips or damage before each use. Consult the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier for recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material being machined.
