The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1648 is a double-end, two-flute square end mill designed for material removal in metal cutting applications. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it carries an 11/64 inch (0.1719 inch) cutting diameter and a 1/2 inch length of cut. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action across a range of ferrous workpiece materials. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends, making it a practical choice for production and maintenance machining environments.
This end mill is suited for milling, slotting, and profiling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Its compact 11/64 inch diameter makes it appropriate for fine detail work, narrow slots, and small-feature contouring. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders found on manual knee mills and CNC machining centers. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole.
Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys in standard 3/16 inch collet or end mill holder setups on manual and CNC milling machines.
Machinist or CNC operator installation. Secure the 3/16 inch shank in a properly sized collet chuck or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting the tool. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for feed rate and spindle speed appropriate to the workpiece material and depth of cut.
